The October Bless Back Worldwide team just arrived safely back from Haiti.

The numbers are still being tallied, but typically these primarily-medical teams see 500 or more patients in a five-day visit.

Bless Back is an Elevation Church outreach partner bringing hope to hurting people in Haiti. The team lands in Port au Prince each visit – but then heads out by bus to the Southwestern Haiti city of Les Cayes. In partnership with El Shaddai Ministries International Bless Back has been sending teams of volunteers to serve orphans and poverty-stricken Haitians since 2010.

You can help. From your laptop. Right now. Giving of Life is offering a $50,000 grant to Bless Back – and we can help them earn it by getting the most votes on the Giving of Life website. You don’t have to sign up for anything, or give up any personal information to cast one vote for Bless Back Worldwide. Click here to do it now – bookmark the site so you can return and vote again through November 4. It takes just a few seconds.

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost two years since the catastrophic earthquake that killed 230,000 Haitians and STILL has left close to 700,000 people living in tent cities without access to services we take for granted like clean water and toilets.

Bless Back is sending another team to Haiti in November.

Elevation Church eGroups leader and volunteer Gary Welch is leading the trip. My husband Sean will be among those giving up their Thanksgivings here, to give thanks and serve there with the Bless Back team.

You can connect with the teams through Facebook or Twitter. You can pray for the volunteers, send your support, or join an upcoming trip. It was an incredible experience I will never forget.
