My dear friends Rick and Cissy Parker are working on a sweet project this weekend.  Tonight, they’re serving dinner – as they have for years – at the Union County Community Shelter.

You can see from the shelter’s Facebook page how excited they were leading up to this weekend, because the Parker family is also leading the charge to give the place a beautiful new paint job.

The Parkers are expecting dozens of volunteers to help tonight, and more are coming Saturday morning.

More help is needed and you’re invited.  Join Elevation Outreach 8am-1pm Saturday at the Union County Community Shelter, 311 East Jefferson Street.  No need to sign up, just show up.  We’ll look forward to seeing you!
