Last week, we celebrated family and commitment and love with Kira and Charles. It felt like a week of Sundays all in a row. We swam with tropical fishes and green sea turtles. We woke up sleepy dolphins and danced on the deck delighted by flying fish. The word WONDER kept bubbling into my head, and reminded me to keep my sense of wonder awakened to all God has given me. Today, my prayer is that your wonder would be awakened, too. God’s love is all around us, and in us, and though most of our biological family is far away, God has given us a pretty special family here in Charlotte and with @elevationchurch. It’s good to be home.

We were inspired and amazed as we served our hearts out all over town during #loveweek2018 and we couldn’t help but wonder “what if?”

What if we took that little bit of extra planning and courage it took to get involved in someone else’s life for one day - and we made it a habit to serve someone in need every week?
•
What if we didn’t wait for a special invitation to go and do all God’s called us to do? Where would we even begin?
•
Talk to your Outreach Director at any Elevation location and get involved in regular @elevationoutreach opportunities through a partner near you.

And better yet, if you’re not yet serving in a weekend or MDWK role at your nearest @elevationchurch location, get involved. Participating in Elevation has changed everything for our family and we are forever grateful.

Cierra prayed long and hard before coming to the LOVEWeek event Monday at Pregnancy Resource Center. She wasn’t sure she wanted to invite the flood of emotions.
Three years ago she made a phone call to an abortion clinic because she felt unready to have a baby.
The clinic worker on the phone asked her “are you sure?” and when Cierra said no, the clinic worker gave her the number to PRC.
The staff and clinicians at PRC helped Cierra with everything she needed to have a healthy, happy pregnancy and Avia was born.
Cierra attends our Gaston location and is serving with her now almost three year old daughter.
“God has brought me a long way, and I’m so grateful for our church and the opportunity to give back,” she said.
