NEW YORK CITY – Hero pilot Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger saved 155 lives tonight.

He ditched Flight 1549 bound for Charlotte into the Hudson when it apparently experienced a “double bird strike” – witnesses say it was a flock of canada geese that got sucked into the jet – effectively shutting down the engines.

We’re gathering more information tonight for WBTV News On Your Side at 11.  An incredible story.
