Some encouragement tonight if you’re already struggling with your New Year’s Resolutions.

Experts say one of the best ways to be successful is to frame your thoughts into positive affirmations.

Like this:  instead of saying, “I’m going to lose 15 pounds”…

say – “I’m eating healthier and exercising towards my perfect weight”

Instead of saying, “I’m going to be debt-free”…

say – “I’m choosing to spend my money more wisely”…

Instead of, “I’m going to quit smoking”…

say – “I am a non-smoker.”

Words make a difference.  Speak them to yourself with the power of positive thought.  And be gentle with yourself.  Be your best you, each day.  And if you fall short of your goals one day, all is not lost.

Every minute you’re NOT smoking, you’re a NON-smoker.  Celebrate that.

Every minute you’re eating healthier, you’re stepping closer to your goals.

Every time you say “I could buy that, but I choose not to”, you’re spending more wisely.  Celebrate your choosing to tell your money where to go.

It took you many days to get here, you can reach your perfect health, financial, or spiritual goals one day at a time.
