There is a great deal of debate going on right now over classrooms segregated by gender.

Whether, because of different learning styles, or differences in their brains, boys and girls learn better when they’re separated at school.  Many school districts are experimenting with this idea.

Segregated-by-gender classrooms are a growing option in Mecklenburg, Union, and York counties. 

With a daughter in high school, and two boys on the way into the school system – I’ve often believed single gender classrooms would bring some benefits, especially for the boys.  Now I’m not sure what to think.  I’m waiting to hear the test results.  They should be out in November.  Stay tuned.
